Vigilance! “Ghost of Munich Massacre” – Bloody ‘Black September’ to ‘Red October’ Are Upon Us
Image: The Nation
“Imagine those poor guys over there. Every five minutes a psycho with a machine gun says, ‘Let’s kill ’em now,’ and someone else says, ‘No, let’s wait a while.’ How long could you stand that?” – Frank Shorter
Terrorism, the ‘Ghost of Munich Massacre’ again stuck out its dark ugly face for the world to see liken to one witnessed by an American marathon runner.
From logistics to negotiating with the captors, the Germans ‘dropped the ball.’ Incompetent officers’ attempts of freeing the hostages of the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich were a total fiasco.
Israel, you have been in a ‘battle of ropes’ between counterattack and negotiations for hostages. But, operationalizing one can conflict with the other. We are past multiple decisions needing to be assessed.
IDF Chief of Staff: “The complete dismantling of Hamas is a national mission of the State of Israel.” National Mission or Mission Impossible? And at what cost?
Priority Mission needs to be the Hostages! Or do you deem them Collateral Damage?
One cannot treat captivity of hostages as a ‘proof of life’ negotiation where objective of captor is NOT ransom or anyone staying alive. For Hamas it’s quite the opposite.
Deals are likely to include scathing concessions from several players, including Palestinians and Hamas. Former Palestinian PM Mohammad Ibrahim Shtayyeh speaks of Hamas needing to agree to ‘8 points.’ Qatar, as the key Negotiator, who does Hamas really speak for in brokering deals?
If Germany’s past caught up with them and the Nazi State of Affairs facilitated negative outcome, appears so too Egypt. Failure to clear and shut down all tunnels leading to and from Israel facilitated the transport of weapons and perpetrators, including Hamas.
Gaza by Sea: Aid or ‘Hidden Supplies’ To and From Cairo
Middle East, UK and US, as you all have painfully discovered, nothing is what it appears to be. Remember the ‘Five Graves to Cairo’ 1943 war film?
Americans, appears you can easily and quickly destroy and build ‘bridges.’ Baltimore too needs your ‘expertise.’ Or was it ‘foreign interference’?
Is the US Defense ‘floating pier’ only for aid or utilized as hidden supply drops?
- How reliant is the cargo security screening in Cyprus?
- Freighter’s trajectory to offshore platform to trucks and then Army boats to ‘floating pier’ secured by boots on the ground and via camera surveillance?
- Trucks steered towards a secured IDF location?
NPR reports “The operation’s success also remains tenuous due to the risk of militant attack, logistical hurdles and a growing shortage of fuel for the trucks to run.”
Cease fire proposal, bad or good timing? Hear that Russia has released the hold of gas exports until end of June.
Sword of supply chains cuts both ways. Vertical and horizontal parameters and opportunities.
Gaza, day after? I have a Master Plan. Not all will like it. Except Mohammad, who responded with an emphatic ‘Yes’ to the question, ‘You and Hamas govern Gaza together?”
May sound absurd. Not so. Quite fitting to have Palestinians live and die by the very idea they support, right Mohammad? But in rebuilding Gaza, be reminded, recognition is NOT acceptance. Agree, ‘Palestine needs to sit down and put their house in order.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel needs to ‘rebuild’ its house. I put forth to you four years ago the following: “Will your “Circle of Peace” be decentralized? Or, will it simply be squared pacts run by one or a few? As long as politicians play with peoples’ land partitioning it and manipulating its resources as a function for powerful interests, the people cannot live in peace, no matter the number of “peace deals.”
Assess well allies so called ‘private companies’ track record. Prepared to walk a fine line between welcoming aid and leaving yourself wide open, again?
Benjamin, you may still be in a ‘security mode.’ But not all Israelis feel secure, nor a majority of American Jews. Why?

Israel, Ready to Walk the War Path U.S. Paved?
British and U.S. Presidents as Politicians have long incited “Munich” in justification for their invasions and wars. Striking deal with the ‘enemy’ is seen as appeasement. In nuclear negotiations with Iran, US Representative John Culberson, reportedly tweeted “Worse than Munich.”
Russia’s influence in the West is clear. Recall Joseph Stalin’s, “A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths are a statistic.” US Defense Mark Milley knows about these statistics first-hand:
“We, the US, killed 12,000 innocent French civilians. We destroyed 69 Japanese cities. We slaughtered people in massive numbers – men, women and children.”
Sure, Milley. Death is death unless it’s 1 or 3,000 of your own.
Mohammad I. Shtayyeh, tell us, are the deaths of over 30,000 in Gaza justified for the release of 10,000 Palestinian prisoners? Not release of Women and Children, PRISONERS?
Israel, your presence as a strategic partner in the Middle East for the United States has long been understood as the reason for your existence, and equally criticized. However, if you are a key strategic partner to the US, YOUR key strategic relationship in this region is with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Kingdom’s ‘genocidal massacre’ critique holds tremendous weight for you and your partners’ future deals including the Abraham Accords. Unlike the condemnations from US and Europe.
China’s President Xi points out that ‘War should not continue indefinitely.’ Tell us, Sir, what do you know of war? ‘World Merchant Supplying and Controlling the Chains’ may respond, “the country that feeds you will own you.’
Or, as I expand. ‘The country that owns you will destroy you.’ Taiwan’s future, own or destroy? As my Sensei says of the West, ‘No need for war when we own or control you.’
Israel, stand alone or not, with allies like U.S. who needs enemies. Unless you need to ‘cut a deal’ with Iran. US, recall prisoner exchange with Venezuela? Or, what some call a DEA Informant.
In my October 2020 paper, “WAR, Crystal Clear. “Power is alwayes Generallissimo” I point out the following:
U.S. Pentagon visits to Israel may have included engaging with Isaac Ben Israel, retired IDF Major General. The General understands ground attack and flexibility, “When people are shooting at you, it changes you for life. You learn that you don’t stick strictly to what you were told to do.”
Middle East pacts coming in the aftermath of Iranian sanctions and the assassination of their General may too be out of self-interest and fear of Iran. Kenneth Pollack, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute think tank in Washington and longtime Iran expert asks, “What happens when the Iranians actually mount a serious attack of any kind against US military forces?” Yes, Pollack, “That’s how we get ourselves into a really big war.”
General Joseph Votel (Ret.), former Central Command (CENTCOM) may disagree as he has argued that “Iran is clear where our red lines are.” Sir, but that’s what the U.S. said about Syria.
Saudi Arabia and Israel have long relied on its U.S. ally for weaponry. Still, neither has singlehandedly nor in unison dared challenge Iran.
Key is to be ready at the “changing of the guard.”
Checkmate stands for “The King is Frozen.” Yes, but which King?
Past is Past, Future Commands Vigilance
Israel, there is power in the past. But the ‘End is only the Beginning’
Entire regions owe their present state of disorder to their past. A past marked by War where scars never heal or are permanently removed, not to be seen. Realignment comes by way of Nature or Man.
Still, the future lies on whether we wish to embrace change with vigilance, as difficult as that may be. Or, fall victim to repeat the persecution done onto us.
Israel, willing and able you are to take out the ‘enemy.’ Still, the ‘hands that tie’ and prevent this belong to the same international body which ‘granted’ the land you have long fought for.
IDF, go in full force followed by Mossad infiltration, again?
Await not past the point of safe or no return.
Time to put the ghosts of the past in the past, and start a new beginning with Vigilance.
Difficult choice now, or painful choice later, complete surrender!
